Margaret Walsh Testimonials Courses

As an approved Tutor for the University of Cambridge, Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), I run several courses as part of their coaching programme which enhance the skills and knowledge of coaches, contributing to continuing professional development. Two current coaching courses are:

1.Growing a Coaching Nature

A core part of this course is working in nature to create a wider perspective on how to use your sensory awareness to grow and develop your coaching style. There is so much more evidence of the mental health benefits of being in nature, but it is often not applied to coaching practice. This course provides lots of practical ideas for working outside with clients to deepen the quality of the coaching experience. As a coach, you also benefit from experiencing these ideas first-hand, as we work in the beautiful grounds of Madingley Hall.

2.Developing your coaching relationships: an exploration of the dynamics at play

Coaching often focuses on the vast inner world of the client which is hidden from view. This course starts to equip you with the knowledge and skills to understand and explore this rich terrain. Coaching has grown enormously in recent years and it is possible to work as a coach and only ever skim the surface of the issues that an individual may wish to discuss. Consequently, any changes that result may be superficial and short-term. By working at greater psychological depth, you will notice more which, in turn, improves the quality of your coaching and facilitates the delivery of transformational rather than transactional change.
